DevOps/Data Engineer – Coopersburg, PA

Ficus e Logic on behalf of its client in the AI/Analytice space, is seeking a hybrid DevOps and Data Engineering professional with a strong emphasis on DevOps capabilities. The successful candidate will be responsible for modifying and managing ETL pipelines as part of platform operations, requiring hands-on DevOps experience and a solid understanding of data pipelines.

Key responsibilities include managing data pipelines within a DevOps setup, understanding CI/CD pipelines, and maintaining/upgrading software assets such as ingress controllers, service meshes, and cloud-native tools. The role also involves enhancing Infrastructure as Code (IaC) scripts, ensuring compatibility of upgraded components, and implementing necessary code changes in languages like Python. Additionally, the engineer will apply security fixes, maintain compliance, create and execute test strategies for upgrades, and provide regular status reports.

Required skills include Terraform, CI/CD Pipelines, platform upgrades and maintenance, and QA exposure. Candidates must have a deep understanding of AWS cloud data services, strong proficiency in ETL/ELT pipelines with Python, and experience modifying/monitoring data pipelines for batch and real-time processing. Exceptional communication skills, knowledge of containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) for data workloads, and experience with relational and NoSQL databases (Redshift, RDS, Athena) are also essential. A Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field and at least 9 years of relevant experience are required.
