Bilingual System Engineer – Yoshimi, Hiki District, Saitama, Japan

Ficus e Logic on behalf of it client in the IT/Engineering Industry, is seeking a highly skilled Bilingual System Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for understanding customer requirements through drawings and meetings, as well as comprehending the structure of current software and production-side requirements. This role involves designing system architecture, resolving inconsistencies, and coordinating with customers on any issues that arise during the system design process. The engineer will also ensure the system is structured and free of contradictions.

Key responsibilities include conducting meetings and understanding specifications in Japanese, along with possessing a strong understanding of hardware communication interfaces (SPI, I2C, UART, etc.). The role requires the ability to read settings and procedures from data sheets, negotiate with manufacturers for QA information, and operate products to acquire waveforms and data for software confirmation. The ideal candidate will have experience in designing using FMEA, DRBFM, FTA, and creating documentation for customer DR processes, including explanations, reviews, and approval. Knowledge of Japanese car manufacturers, BCM, remote controls, transmitters, LF antennas, immobilizers, encryption types, bit data calculation, and CPU/RAM/ROM/Flash/EEPROM functionalities is essential. Familiarity with automotive technical, environmental, homologation standards, and Functional Safety standards (e.g., ISO 26262) is also required. The ability to mediate between departments with differing opinions and accurately report work progress and concerns is crucial.
