Automotive Trims – Door Trims Engineer – Japan

Ficus e Logic on behalf of its client in the IT/Engineering space, is seeking an experienced Automotive Trims Engineer specializing in Door Trims for an onsite position in Japan. The successful candidate will possess strong product development knowledge in automotive interiors, with expertise in concept creation, master sections, vehicle integration, vehicle packaging, and assembly processes. This role requires the ability to prepare and deliver presentations of concepts and master sections, collaborate with cross-functional teams on module-level design changes, and manage system engineering and design release activities.

Candidates should have a solid technical understanding of injection molding and other advanced plastic manufacturing processes, along with knowledge of engineering and system documents such as DFMEA, DVP, DFA, and DFM. Experience with sheet metal is an added advantage. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of handling projects for leading Automotive OEMs or Tier-1 suppliers. This position reports to the Business Unit in India.
