Trade Finance SME – Philippines

Ficus e Logic is seeking a Trade Finance Subject Matter Expert (SME) to join a multi-vendor, multi-country team. The successful candidate will be responsible for analyzing and documenting trade finance requirements across the Letters of Credit (LC), Guarantees, and Collections lifecycle. This role involves supporting integration design for trade finance interfaces with various upstream and downstream systems, including GL, payments, lending, and reporting.

As an SME, you will play a crucial role throughout the core banking implementation, from requirement analysis and solution design to build, testing, and cutover phases. You will engage directly with product vendors to clarify capabilities, configuration options, and constraints, driving decisions on the target system design. The position requires leading and contributing to workshops with business stakeholders, interface teams, solution architecture, and platform vendors to gather and validate requirements. Additionally, you will prepare and own Interface Specification Documents (ISDs) and functional/technical design documents, ensuring review and sign-off with relevant teams. The role also involves supporting SIT/UAT test planning and execution, defect triage, data mapping, migration validation, reconciliation, cutover planning, and hypercare activities. Strong stakeholder management skills are essential to proactively escalate risks and issues across business, technology, and vendor teams.
