BIW Lead Underbody – Japan

Ficus e Logic on behalf of one of its client in the IT/Engineering Consulting Industry, is seeking a highly skilled BIW Lead Underbody to join their team in Japan. The successful candidate will be responsible for the design of automotive BIW components, including 3D modeling, assembly preparation, and creating drawings using UG NX. This role involves maintaining data in PLM, preparing DMU reports, and proposing solutions to potential issues.

Key responsibilities also include preparing engineering drawings, GD&T, and tolerance stack-up plans. The candidate will need to understand manufacturing feedback and provide feasible solutions to customers, as well as create, maintain, and release components and assemblies in PLM. This position requires the preparation of ECN documents, managing release activities, and BOM preparation. The role demands strong communication and collaboration skills to interact effectively with customers, project team members, and stakeholders. Additionally, the BIW Lead will prepare technical documents, DFMEA, DFM, DFA, and DFS documents, attend CFT Design reviews, incorporate feedback, and ensure the quality of engineering deliverables. Forming analysis of assigned components and feedback adaptation are also crucial aspects of this role.
